All the Vegas pools are open and provide life guards all year long.
The aveverage high for Vegas in February is 87. Of course the best
pool in Vegas is the Strat pool. Call 1 800 99 TOWER. Ronald Emerson.

Ron, I think you've been eating "Irish" Varsity Dogs, or drinking old cans
of Billy Beer. I've been going to Las Vegas every February for several
years now & the average temperature is not 87 degrees. Of course, you're
probably just pulling out legs, like with your picks for the Braves &
Falcons to win every game, every year.

Is it okay to dive off the Tower into the pool?

I would check on a pool by pool basis because sometimes they do
maintenance on the pools during the winter.......so if you plan on
staying at a certain hotel........just call ahead to make sure.

Walt since the Strat pool is on a high floor you can jump from the
tower into the pool. As for those who don't believe the averaerage
Vegas high in February is 87, they should remember one extreme can
make the average missleading. Such an extreme happened in Vegas in
February 1862 during the Civil War. I have a diary that was writin by
my great grandfather who was a Confederate general. He and his men
drove the Yankees out of Vegas in February 1862. The canon fire raised
the temp in Vegas to 4000 degrees. Two years later the North
surrendered. Ronald Emerson.

Ron, I've always enjoyed your posts and now they've gained even more
credibility in the "feel good" category. I've always contended that the
south never really surrendered or lost the war. . . all General Lee did
was to buy time for air conditioning to be invented.

BTW, are you also kin to Ralph Waldo?

Sounds like they were using their secret atomic cannon which the
Yankees claimed credit for inventing a hundred years later.
