We are going to WI at the end of September for a family party.
We will be there for the first 10 days into October.
Does anyone have any recommendations on places to see fall colors
in WI-MN-MI besides Door County in WI?

Most parts of Minnesota I've been to are flat farmland with no trees. |
The only exceptions are parts of the Mississippi near Ft. Snelling, and
the area near Redwing and Clearwater.

Tracy,
Besides Door county in Wisconsin, the northern part of the lower peninsula
in Michigan has great fall colors. Try the area around Traverse City,
Charlevoix, Petosky. Great lake views as well.

Unfortunately we will not be that close to that part of MI as we
are going to be starting from central/north-central WI.
But thanks for the info.
As far as Minnesota goes, I was there a long time ago and there
are hills in the north with lots of lakes. SO if anyone has info
about that area or Northern MI/WI, I would appreciate it.

The north shore of Lake Superior--the strip between Duluth and the
Candadian border--is an excellent place to go to view Autumn colors.
Several state parks along the route offer trails along with views of
all sorts of gorges and waterfalls as the rivers flow into the lake. I
visited in mid-September 2001, shortly after moving to Minnesota, and
was amazed at the beauty of the area.

I lived in Houghton, for 6 years. It's in the Keweenaw peninsula, in
the western part of the UP, not too far from the WI border. The fall
colors from there to Copper Harbor are the best I've ever seen.
